fall speaking schedule

IMG_3077I spent a glorious summer plowing through Aaron’s Summer List with him.  We also spent ten days in the Okanagan, basking in the heat, lolling on the beach, and mooching on friends with boats.

September is always a time of renewal.  I’ve got six presentations coming up before the end of October, so I’ve been busy building PowerPoints, rehearsing speaking notes, and confirming logistics.

I’m always excited to speak to health professionals about the patient and family perspective.  I’ve spent the summer interviewing champions who work in the world of pharmacy. On my slate:

Pharmacy Technicians Society of Alberta, Keynote Speaker
Alberta Pharmacists’ Association, Opening Plenary Speaker

I love speaking to health faculty students.  They are so open to learning, and ask the most interesting questions.  I have two speaking engagements booked at the University of Alberta’s Health Science Council’s Interprofessional Launch.

I’m looking forward to travelling to Toronto for a week of patient and family centred care consulting in October.  First up is a spot on a Storytelling Panel with the Canadian Family Advisory Network.  Then, I’ll be spending time at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and SickKids.

Someone once asked the awesome Brene Brown how she managed all her speaking engagements.  She said – one at a time…and that’s the truth!
