The new Primary Care Initiative website has just been launched.  I wrote the feature story – Paving the Way for Prenatal Care.

One of the things I love about writing stories is that I learn a lot about the issues, too.  I have a special interest in health care because of my health admin background and years on project at Alberta Health and Wellness. 

The passion and enthusiasm for this midwifery project in Rocky Mountain House came shining through, even through phone interviews.  These women are doing important, unsung work in rural Alberta to help babies and moms…this appeals to the mom in me, too.
